Taking Care of You
Venous ulcers and Lymphedema
Lower leg wounds that are caused by chronic lower leg swelling require a unique approach. In conjunction with local wound care, we apply multilayer compression bandaging to reduce edema in the legs. After healing, we measure and order patients a variety of compression stockings custom to the patient's needs. If applicable, we also help the patient obtain lymphedema pumps to ensure the best management of lymphedema.
Diabetic Wound Care
Diabetic wounds are some of the most difficult wounds to heal. We offer a comprehensive approach to these wounds which increase our healing rates and ensure the wounds stay healed. We perform diagnostic vascular testing on all our diabetic patients along with testing and monitoring of the patient's Hemoglobin A1C to evaluate long term diabetic control. We involve the patient's primary care physician, endocrinologist, and vascular surgeon to develop a comprehensive treatment plan.
Post-Surgical Wounds
We specialize in post-surgical wounds that have not healed or have reopened after surgery. We are able to order, apply, and manage wound vac dressings in conjunction with visiting home nurses.
